Dakar For Life | Think Europe Racing Team
The rally pilot Rafael Lesmes launched his project DAKAR FOR LIFE 2023 together with Fundación Carrera por la Vida Walk for Life and Think Pink Europe, to raise breast cancer awareness in women AND in men.
Unfortunately, men are often diagnosed with breast cancer at a more advanced stage, primarily due to the lack of awareness and information about breast cancer in men.
Even though they didn't make it to the finish line of the Dakar Rally 2023, the Think Pink Europe RACING TEAM did a great job in drawing attention to breast cancer in males and the need for further research.
Even though we were not able to reach the finish line, I have the immense satisfaction of confirming that the DAKAR FOR LIFE project has succeeded in dissemination and media coverage. Our message of increasing the visibility of breast cancer in women and men has been spectacular, making me immensely happy. Thank you for your trust and faith in me and my project. You didn't know anything about me, yet you poured all your enthusiasm and energy into DAKAR FOR LIFE, immediately adopting the project as your own. I will never be able to forget that, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.
Raphael Lesmes - Pilot Dakar for Life
The Dakar 2023 edition was, said by the organization and participating teams, to have been the toughest in the last 30 years. Taking stock of the experience, at the moment, the team is evaluating possibilities for the DAKAR 2024. In any case, Raphael Lesmes, pilot and initiator of DAKAR FOR LIFE, concluded that his participation will always be with the same message, reflecting the commitment and strength of Think Pink Europe.
