Germany | yeswecan!cer

yeswecan!cer is Germany’s largest digital cancer patient network. Their mission is to end the stigma around cancer by fostering openness, dialogue, and solidarity. Through innovative actions, they give patients and survivors a strong community and amplify their voices.

yeswecan!cer

We are yeswecan!cer – a nonprofit organisation revolutionising cancer communication in Germany. We connect, inform, and advocate for patients, relatives, and systemic change. Cancer is still too often silenced, and we challenge that with bold, visible, and unconventional approaches. Founded in 2018 by people affected by cancer, for people affected by cancer, we break taboos, speak openly, and create networks of those who truly understand.

Our mission is to make cancer communication louder and more colourful than usual. We give patients and relatives a platform to share their stories, access reliable information, and connect with experts. We support informed decisions, provide guidance, and advocate for better care – both in digital spaces and in policy discussions.

YES!APP

The YES!APP is the heart of our movement. It is Germany’s largest digital self-help community for cancer patients and their families, with over 20,000 users. The app enables connection, support, and exchange anytime, anywhere.

Beyond the app, we run awareness campaigns that spark attention, host sessions where doctors explain medical topics clearly, maintain active social media channels and represent patient voices in politics and healthcare.

Yeswecan!cer stands for open communication, practical support, and community. We make sure cancer is talked about – loudly, visibly, and everywhere it matters.

YES!CON

Since 2019, we also host YES!CON, Germany’s first and largest cancer convention. Each year, up to 1,500 participants come together to learn, share, laugh, cry, and celebrate life. YES!CON brings patients, relatives, healthcare professionals, scientists, media, and policymakers into one space for open conversations, inspiring panels, and authentic stories. It is a place where taboo-free dialogue meets energy, visibility, and solidarity.
