Camino 2026

Camino 2026: A European Journey of Strength, Connection and Hope

Think Pink Europe is proud to announce the launch of Camino 2026, a unique European walking project for breast cancer survivors.

From 29 August to 6 September 2026, a group of participants from across Europe will walk part of the Camino together — not as tourists, but as a community united by shared experience, resilience and hope.

We are currently looking for participants through our partner organisations across Europe. This journey is open to breast cancer survivors who feel comfortable walking in a group and who are able to express themselves in English.

Camino 2026 is more than a physical challenge

It is an opportunity to:

  • Connect with fellow survivors from different European countries
  • Share stories and experiences in a safe and supportive environment
  • Rediscover strength and confidence after breast cancer
  • Show that life after diagnosis continues — powerfully

Preparation will begin in May 2026, when participants will be introduced to one another and supported as a group in the months leading up to the walk. An online information session will be organised to provide full practical details and answer questions.

This project is a collaboration between Think Pink Europe, its member organisations across Europe, and Carrera Por La Vida | Walk For Life (Spain, Tenerife), the project organiser and long-standing advocate for breast cancer awareness and support.

Partner organisations are invited to actively share this call within their communities and help us build a strong, diverse European group for this meaningful journey.

Interested participants can request more information.

A Camino Story Already in Motion: Eddy Blockx

While preparations for Camino 2026 are underway, an inspiring journey has already begun.

On 1 March, Eddy Blockx started walking the Camino from Hoogstraten (Belgium). Over the course of approximately 2,500 kilometres, he hopes to arrive in Santiago de Compostela.

For Eddy, this journey is not about reaching a destination. It is not a goal to conquer. It is an experience — an inner journey, a search for meaning, reflection and connection.

Eddy is very grateful that his health allows him to make this journey at the age of 70, and he is well aware that this is not for everyone. To give his walk even deeper purpose, Eddy committed himself to supporting three charitable causes, including Think Pink Europe

Through his engagement, he will also contribute to the Camino 2026 collaboration between Carrera Por La Vida and Think Pink Europe, helping to create opportunities for breast cancer survivors across Europe to take part in this transformative experience.

His steps symbolise exactly what Camino 2026 stands for: movement, resilience, solidarity and the power of shared purpose.
