Think Pink Center Sarajevo

On March 17, the first Center for Women's Health Empowerment in Bosnia and Herzegovina - Think Pink Center - was opened in Sarajevo.  After 20 years of successful work in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Think Pink - Zajedno smo jedno's services and activities are raised to a new level.

The Think Pink Center provides the opportunity to institutionalize the organization's work - to lay the foundations of an institution that will be a service for women who have breast cancer and an educational center on the prevention of the most common cancer in women.

Through a comprehensive approach to women's health, this will be a resource center for information and psychosocial support for women with breast cancer and an educational center on disease prevention, all per European and world guidelines and recommendations.

Activities in the Center at Trg fra Grga Martić 4 started on Monday, March 20th 2023.  Among them will be psychotherapy, consultations with medical experts, exercise, and nutritional counseling on a diet adapted to cancer patients.

Affected women will be allowed to collect free disposable wigs or head coverings once a week. In addition, a certain number of silicone prostheses will be available to patients, and first aid kits for women who have undergone surgery in the last year. | Nela Hasic - president

The Think Pink Center plans to provide navigation services for breast cancer patients from other cantons forced to come to Sarajevo for treatment. In addition, the Center will provide these patients with technical and logistical support during treatment, depending on the available accommodation capacity.

All services will be free of charge.

The Center will also host meetings of the Think Pink network, which gathers associations of patients from Bosnia and Herzegovina; expert meetings; and the first in a series is a meeting of oncology nurses from five oncology centers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The public will be regularly informed about activities through the organization's social networks and in cooperation with the media and health institutions.
