In memoriam: Cristina Cavalli

When loved ones pass away, we feel abandoned.
Cristina chose to keep her relapse of breast cancer to herself. We didn't know how seriously ill she was. She showed nothing, never complained and kept on making plans. For Race for the Cure, for Think Pink Suisse, for her passion for skiing and cycling. We just started to make arrangements for the running event around Lake St. Moritz on August the 13th. The mountains will weep that day.

She took us by surprise. Typical Cristina, she was special. Let's remember her that way.

Cristina Cavalli is the founder and first president of Think Pink Switzerland, she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Walk around the Lake, St. Moritz - 13 August 2021

Cristina was busy preparing for the beautiful event in Graubünden this summer. The second edition of this heart-warming walk/run around the Lake of St. Moritz, surrounded by the breath-taking Engadine landscape, is the official Race for the Cure® Summer kick-off.

The money raised from this event will be used to establish and develop a special scholarship fund to stimulate breast cancer studies. The scholarships will be open to young doctors and researchers, with priorities to the female group.

In honour of Cristina

Upon special request and for anyone who wants to pay tribute to Cristina, it is possible to sponsor the event she was working on. All donations made for the Walk around the Lake, St. Moritz, will go towards the scholarship fund to stimulate breast cancer studies. This project was very dear to Cristina. Feel free to make a donation in honour of Christina and add a personal message. The funds donated will go to Think Pink Suisse, they will guarantee that her legacy lives on in the new generation of doctors and researchers that will dedicate their lives to beating breast cancer.
